Call for Lightning Talks and Posters

Invitation to submit

A continuing feature of ACSW in 2021 will be 5-minute Lightning Talks and Poster presentations. These activities provide an opportunity to interact with the ACSW community on a wide range of computer science related topics.

Submissions are encouraged on all research topics that are related to computer science, and may include work previously published/presented elsewhere, and/or work in progress or planned.

We particularly encourage students to submit a proposal to present a Lightning Talk and Poster. This is a great opportunity to present your research interest to a wider community, generate conversation, and receive helpful feedback. Advisors should encourage their students to present current work to ACSW.

Lightning Talks will be pre-recorded presentations delivered during dedicated sessions throughout the ACSW program. Following Lightning Talks, live online sessions will be held where presenters can talk about their work with delegates and engage in Q&A. Posters will also be available for viewing throughout ACSW in an online poster gallery.

Information on how to submit your Lightning Talk and Poster presentation is provided below.

The call for Lightning Talk and Poster submissions will close 22 January 2021.

We look forward to receiving your submission.

Financial Hardship

CORE and the 2021 Organising Committee recognises COVID-19 is having a significant financial impact on some sectors of the community which may render attendance at ACSW Online unaffordable.

In addition to offering heavily reduced registration fees, some financial assistance is being provided by CORE to individuals and university departments who are unable to fund their attendance at ACSW Online.
