Digital transformation in health will result in an increased need for health information specialists to support the delivery of high quality care. However, many countries do not delineate or quantify this workforce, making it difficult to build a capabilities-driven workforce development framework.

This keynote describes the scientific development of a national minimum data set for an Australian health information workforce census that has international applicability.


Biography

Kerryn Butler-Henderson is the Course Coordinator of the Master of Health Information Management at the University of Tasmania. She is known for her dedication to the promotion and advocacy of the HIM profession. Her research specialisation is in workforce analysis, and the use of technologies in health.
